Ingram Micro sings deal with Uniwide Technologies
Distributor adds to its components stable
Broadline distributor Ingram Micro has added to its components stable by signing a pan-European partnership with server and workstation solutions vendor Uniwide Technologies.
The alliance gives Korea-based Uniwide, which is one of just four AMD Validated Server Programme partners worldwide, lucrative access to 90,000 resellers across the continent.
Sven Hollemann, director of components at Ingram Micro Europe, said: “As a result of this partnership between Uniwide and Ingram Micro, our resellers will now be able to have direct access to AMD Validated server solutions.”
Ingram will carry Uniwide’s full range of UniServer and workstation products, which it claimed are suitable for all market segments for two-way and four-way, dual-core AMD Opteron server platforms. Uniwide said Ingram’s support and development was a key factor behind the deal.
