Intercept IT gets helping Hans

VAR issues war cry as it takes on former RES Software boss Hans Middelburg

VAR Intercept IT has enlisted the services of former RES Software chief executive Hans Middelburg as it stressed it remains "fiercely committed to growth".

Middelburg (pictured), who headed up virtualisation vendor RES between 2006 and 2010, has joined the London-based Citrix and VMware partner as a non-executive director.

Intercept said that Middelburg has "a long track record" at growth companies having also held senior positions at BMC and Xerox. He is currently chief executive of Semper Software and holds advisory positions for companies such as SMT Data in Denmark and Madcap in the Netherlands.

Intercept chief executive Richard Gilder said: "Intercept is fiercely committed to growth... [Hans'] experience in taking companies through the various growth stages is a huge win for Intercept and we are extremely proud Hans has agreed to join us."
