Assured Data Protection (Assured), the Leeds-based MSP for cloud data protection solutions, has launched its cyber recovery and fully managed backup services into the Middle East, backed by Rubrik.

As part of the launch, Assured has signed a strategic distribution partnership across the region with Mindware, a Dubai-based VAD operating in the Middle East and Africa.

The partnership aims to provide partners and companies across the region with backup and cyber recovery capabilities as a managed service.

It will also try answering the growing demand among Middle Eastern organisations for channel support in navigating complex data sovereignty and privacy regulations, along with their disaster recovery and immutable backup needs.

New datacentres will be established to help clients manage data sovereignty issues and minimise latency in data transfer, enhancing operational efficiency and security.

This is not the first time the West Yorkshire vendor has expanded its global influence this year, as it entered into a joint venture with Rubrik to launch in Latin America just over a month ago.

“Our launch into the Middle East is another important step forward in our ambitious growth plans for 2024 and beyond,” said Rob Mackle, EMEA managing director at Assured (pictured).

New customers and partners of Assured will receive Rubrik’s zero-trust data security, which helps organisations achieve business resilience against cyberattacks, malicious insiders, and operational disruptions.

They will also receive Rubrik security cloud which secures data across enterprise, cloud, and SaaS applications.

"With Assured, we can now provide a more flexible and cost-effective approach to deploying Rubrik solutions for businesses of all sizes,” said Ehab Adel, business unit manager at Mindware.

“As a leading MSP of Rubrik technology, we are proud to support Assured’s new expansion into the Middle East and welcome its new partnership with Mindware,” said Ghazal Asif, VP of global channels & alliances at Rubrik.
