Christian Jehle is to step down from his role as Computacenter’s CFO and as executive member of the board, following a mutual agreement.

The sudden announcement comes after the reseller experienced mixed results this year, as its sales were affected by normalisation across technology sourcing and negative currency effects in H1, and were below expectations in Q3 this year, despite delivering “record profit growth” in 2023.

The chief financial officer leaves the Hertfordshire-based business after succeeding Tony Conophy in 2023, who assumed this position from 1987 until his retirement.

Jehle started his IT journey at Fujitsu in 1997 and has since been CFO at various companies such as Experion, SAP Japan and SAP UKI.

Some of his previous roles include consulting manager at Accenture, head of FP&I at FDI International, PMO global finance strategic projects at SAP Sweden, and vice president of finance at Finastra.

According to Computacenter’s chief executive officer Mike Norris back in 2022, Jehle’s “career to date has been characterised by leading transformations of finance functions to ensure that they are best in class and fit for purpose for continually expanding and changing businesses.”

He first took on the role to “further develop our finance function as the needs of our business change and ensure that it remains in a position to best support and enable the continued growth of our business,” Norris said at the time.

Jehle will remain a Computacenter employee until 31 December and will continue receiving his base salary, pension and benefits.

As the company is currently looking for a new chief financial officer, his role will be fulfilled by the broader finance team as well as the current executive management team.

The company's nomination committee announced it is looking for a replacement and will make a further announcement once this has been completed.

Computacenter ranks number two in CRN’s Top VARs 2024 List.
