CrowdStrike supercharges Falcon platform with Westcon in Ireland and Adaptive Shield buy
Westcon-Comstor now distributes CrowdStrike in Ireland while Adaptive Shield is set to come under the vendor’s banner
CrowdStrike today announced a double whammy of deals to propel its Falcon platform.
On the distribution front, CrowdStrike has expanded its collaboration with Westcon-Comstor into Ireland.
The partnership between the duo already covers multiple key markets across EMEA and APAC internationally.
This latest expansion creates opportunities for IT channel partners in Ireland to leverage the AI-native CrowdStrike Falcon cybersecurity platform to drive vendor consolidation and stop breaches.
Channel partners also benefit from Westcon-Comstor’s value-added services spanning education, enablement and data-driven sales and marketing programmes in delivering business growth.
Under the agreement, Ireland-based partners including resellers, systems integrators, MSPs and MSSPs can also harness Westcon-Comstor’s 3D Lab to test use cases and integrations of CrowdStrike products with other vendors’ solutions in a secure cloud environment.
The Irish cybersecurity market is projected to grow by nearly eight per cent over the next five years, resulting in a market volume of $812m in 2029, according to Statista.
The sector employs more than 7,000 cybersecurity professionals in the region, and this figure is expected by Cyber Ireland to reach 17,000 by 2030.
Now onto M&A and CrowdStrike has agreed to acquire SaaS Security company Adaptive Shield.
“We’re excited to give Ireland-based partners and their customers access to CrowdStrike’s market-leading Falcon platform, wrapped in our value-add services and underpinned by our data-driven approach,” said John Nolan, UK&I MD, Westcon, at Westcon-Comstor.
“This agreement is an acknowledgement of the success we have had in other markets in driving and scaling adoption of the CrowdStrike platform, and ultimately it will help to protect organisations across Ireland to stay safe amid an ever-evolving cybersecurity threat landscape.”
With this takeover CrowdStrike claims it will be the only cybersecurity vendor to provide unified, end-to-end protection against identity-based attacks across the entire modern cloud ecosystem – from on-premises Active Directory to cloud-based identity providers and SaaS applications – delivered from a single, unified platform.
“CrowdStrike was built to tackle the toughest cybersecurity challenges, and we drive relentless innovation based on what our customers need to stay ahead of modern threats,” said CrowdStrike founder and CEO George Kurtz.
“As SaaS and AI adoption grows, every new application brings additional complexity and the risk of misconfigurations across human and non-human accounts that create openings for sophisticated attacks.
“With the acquisition of Adaptive Shield, CrowdStrike will continue to set the standard for identity-based protection in the cloud, delivering best-in-class SaaS protection from the Falcon platform.”
