Proofpoint hires Jerome Jullien to lead EMEA channels and alliances
The industry vet joins from Vectra AI
Proofpoint has recruited tech vendor veteran Jerome Jullien as its new vice president of channels and alliances for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Jullien’s ownership of the channel operations underscore Proofpoint’s commitment to its channel business and investment in the growth of its partner ecosystem in the EMEA region, it said.
"Proofpoint is a channel-first organisation. As we have expanded our ecosystem in EMEA, Proofpoint's reputation as the leader in cybersecurity has enabled us to attract great talent,” said Joe Sykora, SVP, worldwide channels and partner sales at Proofpoint.
“Jerome Jullien’s strong experience and drive will be invaluable in delivering our vision of human-centric security to our key partners, expanding our program in line with growing demand for our market-leading solutions.”
Based out of Paris, France, Jullien brings more than 25 years’ experience working in the IT industry.
He joins Proofpoint from Vectra AI where he spent almost four years as VP of international partner sales.
Before this he headed up Nokia’s global channel and alliances operations and served as country manager of France for Riverbed Technology.
“Proofpoint is the trusted cybersecurity partner to some of the world’s most respected companies and is committed to its channel go-to-market strategy, giving us an exceptional opportunity for continued growth,” said Jullien.
“Proofpoint continues to develop and launch innovative products to protect its customers’ people, wherever they are working. We believe this will help to expand our ecosystem’s reach and allow our channel partners to grow their Proofpoint business profitably whilst increasing customer relevance.”
Proofpoint growth
Proofpoint has been on an expansion trajectory recently.
Last month the vendor announced its acquisition of data security posture management provider Normalyze to boost its human-centric security platform.
Proofpoint is also growing geographically with the opening of its new office in Cork, Ireland in September, serving as its international hub, creating more than 250 jobs in the next two years – with plans for ongoing, active recruitment and continued investment in the region.
