Systal Technology Solutions has named Bob Murphy as non-executive director.

Murphy joins the Glasgow-based service provider’s board to steer the company’s growth ambitions as it continues to expand its international operations.

He is an experienced IT professional with over two decades of knowledge and expertise in global procurement and supplier management.

With almost twenty years at IBM, most recently as chief procurement officer and VP of supply chain transformation and operations, Murphy will play a key part in the strategic development of Systal’s plans in the United States.

Born in Glasgow in 2008, the managed network and security services reseller now has a vast presence all around the world, providing technology services for enterprise businesses in 93 countries, and counts offices in multiple locations, such as Czechia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Slovakia, India and the US.

The American office is the latest addition to the list, as it has opened its doors in April of this year.

The hire comes on the heels of Systal’s extensive growth, as its revenue grew by 82 per cent during FY20, and by 70 per cent during FY22.

“The addition of Bob’s experience, insights and perspective will be invaluable as we build on Systal’s recent successes, expand our international managed network and security footprint, and progress our growth ambitions and mission to be the world’s most trusted technology services partner,” said Neil Nicolson, CEO of Systal.
