Westcon-Comstor continues expansion drive with distribution agreement
The distie has added Stratus to its portfolio to optimise performance and protect critical workloads across EMEA region
Westcon-Comstor has added Massachusetts-based vendor Stratus Technologies to its portfolio to distribute its solutions including Stratus ztC endurance and Stratus ztC edge, and related services to channel partners across the EMEA region.
“This exciting new partnership with Stratus is the perfect way to mark the arrival of our new, solution-focused IoT division,” said Antony Byford (pictured), VP of IoT & collaboration at Westcon-Comstor.
Stratus Solutions enables large companies and SMBs to run mission-critical applications securely and remotely, without downtime at the datacentre and edge, and turn that data into actionable intelligence.
This move falls withing Westcon’s expansion drive in recent months, which has included significant vendor acquisition with the likes of Vectra, Zscaler, Juniper Networks and others signing or expanding deals with the distributors.
The New York state-based distributor has also reinforced its presence in the EMEA this year by expanding its partnership with Palo Alto Networks to offer the vendor's cybersecurity solutions in Finland and the Baltics.
The distribution agreement with Westcon aims to drive adoption of the Stratus portfolio by end-user businesses while creating growth opportunities for channel partners including technology resellers, systems integrators and service providers.
“With Westcon and its partners, we are reducing the complexity and risk of deploying compute infrastructure that rapidly modernises operations and readies environments for advanced software, analytics and AI,” said Greg Hookings, EMEA managing director at Stratus.
This new addition to the company’s portfolio forms part of its new dedicated IoT division, which is focused on unlocking the potential of IoT and the intelligent edge (the practice of adding greater compute capacity at the network where data is generated) by enabling partners to deliver scalable and secure IoT applications to their customers.
