Advania has continued its acquisition spree with the buyout of audio-visual and meeting room technology specialist Visuell Teknik.

The merger also seeks to enhance service capabilities for both public and private sector clients of the reseller.

It will enable new customers of Advania Sweden and Visuell Teknik to get broad expertise within IT services.

"Welcoming Visuell Teknik to Advania builds on years of successful collaboration, particularly in the public sector, where precision and delivery excellence are crucial,” said Hege Støre, group CEO of Advania.

“Their expertise in creating user-friendly meeting spaces will significantly strengthen our Swedish market position.”

Joachim Westman, CEO of Visuell Teknik, added: "After years of working closely with the Swedish team, we're excited to join Advania's growth journey.

“While Visuell Teknik has built strong capabilities in audio-visual solutions, this combination accelerates our trajectory.”

“Together, we can deliver comprehensive technology solutions to a broader range of clients.”

"This new deal is based on many years of strong collaboration, and we know that we will thrive together,” said Tomas Wanselius, CEO of Advania Sweden.

Advania operates in Sweden, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Denmark, and the UK.

This is the second time the Swedish reseller acquired a company in the Nordics in less than a year, following its buyout of Norwegian privately owned IT services provider Solv.

But the company’s strong presence in Northern Europe doesn’t stop it from heavily focusing on the UK.

The British arm of the business opened nearly four years ago, when the company acquired Microsoft partner Content+Cloud, before rebranding it two years later as Advania UK.

The UK branch quickly expanded, with the acquisition of VAR Servium in June last year, followed by the buyout of Chesterfield-based technology reseller and solutions provider CCS Media in October.

The latter has been regarded as one of the biggest channel acquisitions in the UK last year, and allowed the reseller to go from “2,000 to 9,500 clients,” according to UK CEO Geoff Kneen speaking with CRN.

Advania UK ranks number 52 in CRN’s Top VARs 2024 list.
