Apogee levels up Spanish ambitions with CM investment
New venture is the first one from the HP subsidiary in over a year
Apogee Corporation has invested in HP product distributor CM Advanced Printing Iberia SA to boost its presence in the Spanish market.
The Maidstone-based business will aim to leverage its 30 years of experience as a managed workplace services provider to expand CM's offerings across the region.
The Spanish distie will now be able to provide its partners with access to Apogee's technology solutions, such as digital workspace, managed IT services, print services management, and outsourced document services
The Maidstone-based reseller will also equip the distributor’s customers with print control software and document management solutions aimed at enhancing their print and document management roadmap.
This investment will allow CM to receive Apogee’s insights into “unmet needs” and “best practices” across SMBs, large enterprises, and the public sector, in an attempt to drive added value, increase innovation, and contribute to its development in the Spanish market.
In addition, both Apogee and the office products distributor will also benefit from the provision of other workplace services related to HP computing and collaboration.
CM will keep its operational independence and will continue to be led by Isaias Martin, its CEO since 1991.
His continued leadership will aim to ensure continuity in the company’s management and business strategy.
“We are delighted to partner with CM. Apogee’s expertise in this market enables us to deliver meaningful insights and added value, ensuring CM’s customers are well-equipped to achieve their goals,” said James Clark, CEO of Apogee.
Clark was appointed CEO of the company last year, to invest and grow in areas such as “managed workplaces, managed desktop and managed telephony.”
Even though Apogee has been acquisitive since its buyout by HP in 2018, this is the first investment made by the company in over a year, the latest one going back to August 2023 with the acquisition of Datatron.
Apogee ranks number 41 in CRN’s Top VARs 2024 list.
