Cloud Digital dives deeper into dark web with Searchlight Cyber
New partnership aims to deliver enhanced dark web investigation services
Managed services provider Cloud Digital has partnered with dark web intelligence company Searchlight Cyber to conduct threat investigations on behalf of businesses.
According to the new partners, these investigations will be conducted using the most extensive dark web data available.
The two companies team up as cybercriminals are thriving on the dark web, where they target organisations, set up cyberattacks, and trade stolen data and assets.
These cyber hazards, which are aimed at businesses of all sizes, include dark web threats such as reputational harm and data breaches, as has previously been the case with Cisco.
Other major IT companies such as Dell and Microsoft have also been the victims of cyberattacks in the last few months
A recent study by Searchlight and the Marsh McLennan Cyber Risk Intelligence Centre also highlights that any mention of a company on the dark web increases the risks of cyber threats.
With the aim of spotting threats and taking immediate actions, this new collaboration will combine Cloud Digital’s dark web investigation service, which helps businesses identify and neutralise threats from the dark web, with Searchlight’s intelligence platform, which gives investigators access to real-time data gathered from hundreds of dark web marketplaces, forums, and websites.
“At Cloud Digital, we live by the motto ‘think like a criminal, act like an angel’”, said Jonathan Palmer, co-founder of Cloud Digital.
“To protect our clients, we need to understand how adversaries operate and anticipate their next move.
“Having visibility into [the dark web] empowers us to safeguard our customers from risks that would otherwise go unnoticed, such as reputational damage, financial loss, and even threats against executives.
“[Searchlight’s] data comprehensive dataset, combined with intuitive investigative tools, enables us to swiftly act on behalf of our customers and protect them from emerging dark web threats.”
Ben Jones, CEO of Searchlight Cyber, added: “We’re excited to partner with Cloud Digital, a leading MSP taking a proactive approach to managing dark web risks for its clients, including some of the world’s most secure organisations.
“Cloud Digital has already demonstrated the effectiveness of our tools in multiple dark web investigations, showing how businesses can reduce risk by identifying threats early.”
