Logicalis UK&I has appointed Mairead Malone country leader for Ireland, in addition to her current role as sales director.

In her new position, Malone will be working with teams across pre-sales, customer support, professional services, and finance to support the VAR’s growth and development in the country.

She will also focus on expanding teams for enterprise, commercial and corporate accounts, as well as on creating a collaborative culture to support talent attraction and retention.

The IT vet started her journey in the channel in 2002 as an account manager for Dublin-based ICT services and solutions provider PFH Technology Group, a position she kept until 2005.

She then cut her teeth at EMC Computer Systems where she stayed for over ten years, starting as an inside sales rep.

Within six years, she climbed through different sales and accountancy roles before eventually stepping up as BT & Fujitsu Ireland partner account manager in 2011.

She held this role for nearly four years until March 2015, when she became group commercial director at Arrow Electronics Ireland.

She left two years later to take on the position of Ireland channel sales manager at Sungard, stepping up as regional VP in 2020, before joining Logicalis UK&I.

“Having operated in Ireland for 30 years, Logicalis has had great success in the market, and our aim is to continue growing and investing locally,” said Malone.

“From compliance to virtualisation, managed services to smart buildings, our aim has always been to drive change for customers.

“It’s important that we do this in a way that balances the impact and cost of change with its opportunity and value.”

This comes after Logicalis made a series of leadership changes over the last 12 months, with the appointments of Neil Eke as CEO of Logicalis UK&I, Anamaria Gibbons as marketing and comms director UK&I, and Jürgen Hatzipantelis as CEO in Germany.

The organisation ranks number 96 in CRN’s Top VARs list.
