Chris Pickerill becomes Nutanix new UKI channel director
The channel vet brings three decades of experience
Cloud computing vendor Nutanix has appointed Chris Pickerill as channel director for the UK and Ireland to “drive partner-initiated revenue growth.”
Pickerill will also be in charge of leading Nutanix’s UKI channel organisation, enhancing partner engagement, driving revenue growth, leading further channel-focused initiatives, and building partner competencies on Nutanix solutions.
Prior to this role, Pickerill was acting as North EMEA partner director at SentinelOne, where he ran the UKI & Northern European channel.
He also held various roles within the channel over the last three decades.
Pickerill began his journey in IT as an enterprise account manager at Hamilton Rentals in 1995, where he worked for three years before joining Computacenter as a solution sales specialist.
He then left for NetApp, where he worked for almost eight years.
Starting as a channel development manager for the company, he then went on to become UKI channel district manager and later was named enterprise commercial district manager.
The new UKI channel director also occupied a multitude of European leadership positions in international companies, such as UK sales director at Splunk, sales director UKI global accounts at VMware, and EMEA sales director at Unity.
“Nutanix’s leadership in hybrid multi-cloud and strong cloud-native capabilities alongside its focus on driving true business value for customers and partners alike make it a highly desirable organisation to join,” said Pickerill.
“That’s one of the reasons I am excited to be part of this dynamic and successful organisation, and I can’t wait to get engaged with the business and our channel partners.”
Sven Schoenaerts, head of channel sales EMEA at Nutanix, added: “Having worked with Chris in the past, I know that his deep understanding of the market, excellent channel relationships and people manager qualities will be a superb contributor to Nutanix’s future success.
“I’m looking forward to working with him and the UKI team to contribute to the continued growth we’re seeing within the region."
Pickerill will assume his new role immediately.
His appointment follows the departure of Andrew Gill as UKI director of channel sales and ecosystems, after the latter joined IBM as VP of technology ecosystems for UK & Ireland in August 2024.
This announcement also comes less than a year after the company went through a deep restructuring in its EMEA sales leadership, with Nutanix hiring Sven Schoenaerts as senior director of channel sales EMEA, Chris De Vere as EMEA MSP leader, and Philippe Dosset as leader of the EMEA OEM & alliances team.
