Rydal Group boosts UK activity with Trisoft IT arm buyout
This marks the company’s third acquisition in less than a year
Rydal Group has bought out Trisoft’s IT services division to broaden its cloud infrastructure, engineering network, and in-house cybersecurity division.
The investment is intended to boost Rydal Group’s national presence.
The company currently serves a range of firms from SMEs to enterprise-level organisations.
The integration will also strive to provide uninterrupted service for existing customers.
It will also open access to a wider suite of services, such as unified communications (UC), voice over internet protocol (VoIP), leased lines, Microsoft Teams integration, and managed backup and disaster recovery solutions.
As part of the merger, which closed on 1 March, the Midlands-based technology provider’s IT supplier relationships and client base will transition to Rydal Group.
All staff will also join the MSP, which already counts over 90 people among its ranks.
“This acquisition is about continuity and opportunity,” said Steffan Dancy, MD at Rydal Group.
“We’ve worked closely with Trisoft over the years and share the same customer-first values.
“Clients can expect the same trusted engineers and support, now enhanced by our broader infrastructure, national engineering network, and in-house cybersecurity division.”
Rance Van Liere, technical director at Trisoft, added: “Rydal Group stood out as the ideal home for our clients and team.”
“Their technical expertise, service culture, and national footprint offer an exciting future for everyone involved.”
The announcement follows a series of buyouts made by the company, as it aims to increase its activities in the UK channel.
Over the last 12 months, the MSP invested in two other firms.
In June 2024, it acquired Cambridge-based telecom solutions provider My Communications.
In September last year, the company merged with datacentre and ISP services provider Merula.
As of today, the Peterborough-based firm has offices in Lichfield, Lancaster, and a dedicated datacentre and ISP operation in Huntingdon.
