Zyxel Networks serves up new partner programme with added cloud focus for partners

The vendor wants partners to consume its Nebula cloud platform as the main course

Zyxel Networks today unveiled its new partner programme that sweetens its support for partners to grow and position themselves as cloud networking businesses.

The fresh partner track builds on the strengths of Zyxel's products and its Nebula cloud management platform.

It is designed to incentivise all partners as they develop their managed services and adapt to the changing needs of customers.

“The new partner programme underlines Zyxel Networks’ commitment to driving cloud networking and supporting the growth ambitions of all our partners,” said Kevin Drinkall, director, marketing and GTM strategy EMEA (pictured).

“This is an important milestone in the development of our channel strategy that will ensure our partners are rewarded for putting their focus on Zyxel Networks and building their business around our products.”

Many partners already use the Nebula cloud management platform as the foundation for their managed services offerings, as Zyxel hopes the new programme will encourage more to successfully make the transition.

The launch will give partners the benefit of discounts across a wider variety of products while incentivising those resellers who have a higher number of installed Nebula devices.

All of Zyxel’s existing partners across Europe will be migrated into the new programme starting from this month and will be offered 12 months to align to the new programme criteria, allowing them plenty of time to work with their local teams to ensure long-term benefits.

Specialist partner accreditations – for MSP partners and for the education and hospitality sectors – will continue to apply and be available. The EliteTech programme, for which individual technical personnel can qualify, also remains in place.

In addition, partners that qualify for the top two tiers of the new programme – Prime and Elite – will have access to a new Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) option for Nebula subscription licensing that will allow them to flex the number of devices they use up and down, paying only for the number active that month.

The PAYG option for Prime and Elite partners has been introduced in response to partner feedback. Partners that make use of this option are expected either to have a fast-growing customer base or to have clients that need to meet requirements for events, construction or other major projects. This element of the new program has been successfully piloted with a number of partners during 2024.
