Trend Micro appoints 'peerless' duo for UK push

Ross Dyer and Matt Poulton join security vendor as technical director and enterprise sales director

Security vendor Trend Micro has enlisted two new UK directors to bolster its growth ambitions in the country.

Matt Poulton joins Trend Micro as enterprise sales director while Ross Dyer has been appointed technical director.

Trend launched a hiring spree earlier this year as it looks to make more noise around its newer products in areas such as cloud and cybersecurity.

Poulton, who will head Trend's major account management sales team, was most recently responsible for UK sales at key management vendor Venafi and before that has worked at Symantec, PGP, PC-Ware and Software Spectrum.

Dire joins from HP Enterprise Security Services, where he served as EMEA-wide head of Strategy Group for the CTO function. He has also served stints at BeyondTrust and Websense.

Simon Young, UK and Ireland managing director at Trend Micro, said the duo's "boundless enthusiasm, peerless expertise and formidable experience" are a "great fit" for the Japan-headquartered vendor.
