Infinigate brings the Ruckus to Meraki

Distributor says new vendor signing, CloudRuckus, will arm Ruckus resellers with cloud alternative to Meraki and Aerohive

Distributor Infinigate UK has signed a Ruckus Wireless add-on vendor to help its Ruckus resellers compete against Meraki and Aerohive.

Infinigate has carried wireless LAN vendor Ruckus Wireless since 2013, supplying more than 100 UK resellers, and has now inked a deal with CloudRuckus, a separate – albeit similarly named – company that makes cloud managed solutions for Ruckus hardware.

Infinigate UK joint managing director Alex Teh said the partnership would provide Ruckus resellers with an alternative way to go to market that competes with cloud-based Wi-Fi vendors such as Meraki and Aerohive.

"This gives us all the deployment options that are available to the competition," Teh (pictured) said.

CloudRuckus claims to be the only cloud managed solution for Ruckus wireless hardware and is fully compatible with Ruckus SAMs, SPoT and SCI products.

"Not only does it provide an alternative for current resellers to sell a cloud-based solution, but it also offers the benefit of selling Wi-Fi as a service and generating recurring revenues for their business," Teh said.

"We will start working with our existing 100-plus Ruckus partners and introduce them to CloudRuckus. We will provide them with training, and product and knowledge transfer capability, so they are able to sell, deploy and manage CloudRuckus."
