VMware price hike coming in January - partner
VMware stops short of confirming Brexit-fuelled price hike, but says prices are always evaluated
VMware is planning to increase its prices across all products by 15 per cent from 1 January, according to Softcat.
A number of tech vendors - including Microsoft, Apple, Dell and HP - have announced price rises since the UK voted to leave the EU. Some, in fact, have increased prices twice, thanks to the falling value of the pound against the dollar.
With this in mind, Softcat created a page on its website dedicated to updating customers about the price increases to keep them in the know.
The most recent addition to the company's table is VMware. Softcat claims the virtualisation giant will increase prices on all products by 15 per cent on 1 January.
VMware stopped short of explicitly confirming the price hikes and in a statement sent to CRN said:
"While we have not broadly announced a pricing change in the UK today, we continuously evaluate our pricing in various currencies across the world. We occasionally make adjustments that provide consistent pricing across regions, and optimise value for our customers and partners around the world."
