Lenovo UK GM Harber to depart next month
Recently appointed EMEA channel VP Marco Andresen to fill in while a replacement is sought
Lenovo's UK general manager John Harber is set to leave the vendor in the middle of next month, Lenovo has confirmed.
Harber joined Lenovo last March from wearable tech firm Jawbone - having previously held a number of roles at Sony, including UK general manager.
Harber's next employer has not yet been confirmed, but industry sources understand it to be a UK reseller.
In a statement sent to CRN Lenovo confirmed that Harber will leave in June, with a representative saying he "has decided to leave to pursue other opportunities".
"We would like to thank John for his dedication to Lenovo and for driving a profitable business in such a competitive market," they added.
Harber's vacant role will be temporarily filled by recently appointed EMEA channel VP Marco Andresen, who joined Lenovo last month having previously been Acer's managing director for the UK and Ireland.
"Marco, who has recently joined Lenovo, has a wealth of experience in the PC industry and also a knowledge of the UK market from a previous role as managing director UK & Ireland at Acer," the spokesperson added.
