Comms VAR Arrow continues M&A spree with largest deal so far

Arrow snaps up comms service provider to bolster presence in Scotland

Acquisitive VAR Arrow Business Communications has continued its M&A activity with a deal for telecoms services firm Abica.

Surrey-based Arrow has been snapping up counterparts at a rate of knots since receiving private equity funding, now taking over the Microsoft partner and its subsidiary PCR IT.

Chris Russell, Arrow's CEO, said: "This was our third acquisition in 2018 and becomes our largest one to date.

"Abica further strengthens our presence in Scotland and, combined with our existing business there, will create a real Scottish powerhouse.

"The Abica and PCR teams have a wealth of experience in delivering solutions to customers while maintaining the strong relationships they have built up over the years, which is exactly how we strive to conduct our business in Arrow."

Arrow said that Abica has over 650 customers and offers solutions around connectivity, mobile, and IoT. Other key partners include Vodafone, Gamma and O2.

For the year ending 31 December 2017, Arrow reported a revenue of £22.6m.

Last year it acquired Microsoft and Cisco partner 360 Solutions, and boutique comms reseller Reeves Lund.
