Phoenix Software MD joins CRN Women in Channel judging panel
Samantha Mudd says awards 'inspire future generations where previous generations have feared to tread' as she joins judging line-up
Phoenix Software managing director Samantha Mudd has been unveiled as the latest industry luminary to join the 2019 CRN Women in Channel judging panel.
Building on the success of last year's inaugural event, the 2019 CRN Women in Channel Awards will highlight the achievements of talented female staff across the industry, from CEOs to marketing, sales, technical staff and unsung heroes.

One of the few female CEOs of a top 50 UK VAR, Mudd manages over 200 staff and has nearly quadrupled the software licensing specialist Phoenix's revenues since taking the reins in 2009.
Asked about her reasons for coming on board, Mudd said the awards "undoubtedly inspire future generations of females to enter the technology arena where previous generations feared to tread".
"Phoenix currently employ 34 per cent women within our workforce, which exceeds the 20 per cent industry average," she added.
"I want to ensure that this percentage increases in our company over the coming years and hopefully encourage an increase within the industry. I believe that an equal and diverse management and workforce will strengthen our company and industry and also help to re-balance many issues in society."
Mudd said her involvement coincides with a diversity and inclusion push at parent company Altron Group.
"CRN have provided me with a platform to be vocal and represent what we as a group of companies believe in. It is wonderful to have the opportunity to recognise influential women in IT, make them feel valued and recognise their contributions," she said.
