TfL after resellers for £160m hardware and software framework
Suppliers must have IaaS and PaaS capabilities
Transport for London (TfL) is seeking reseller for a £160m IT framework.
The Reseller and Associated Services Framework Agreement is for "the provision of value-added reseller services to provide commoditised hardware, software, cloud and associated services".
TfL said it is looking for multiple suppliers, but did not specify how many in the contract notice.
The framework is not divided into Lots and is set to start on 5 March 2020, TfL added. It is scheduled to last four years.
A previous TfL hardware framework, worth £80m, was awarded in 2014, with Probrand, Insight, Computacenter and CSC (now DXC Technology) winning places.
This framework is set to expire on 31 July. According to publicly available data a number of large deals have been completed, including a desk-side support services contract with Computacenter worth between £10m and £25m.
The successful suppliers for the new framework need to be competent in traditional hardware, software, support and maintenance services, as well as have expertise around platform-as-a-service and infrastructure-as-a-service.
TfL said that suppliers will not win a place solely based on price, adding that requests to participate must be received by lunchtime on 29 May.
