Dell reshuffling continues as EMEA leadership role is consolidated
Dell and Dell EMC president roles merged
Dell has continued its senior management reshuffle, with Adrian McDonald taking on the role of EMEA president.
McDonald previously held the role for the EMC division of the business, but has now seen his mandate expanded to oversee the vendor's client unit.
He said: "In a time of great change, Dell Technologies are ideally positioned to add value into Customer and Partners.
"I'm incredibly excited for the future. We are at a tipping point for technology innovation. Computing will be more intelligent, personal and accessible in the 2020s, and this is going to have an even bigger impact on the world than the last decade, transforming how we live and work.
"Our customers understand this. They are not only looking to reimagine their businesses with the opportunities digital brings, but in many cases, undertake a dramatic transformation and I am looking forward to working with them and our partners to enable them to achieve this."
McDonald joined EMC in 1988, according to his LinkedIn profile, and has held leadership positions across Europe.
As part of the reshuffling, Aongus Hegarty will move from his Dell EMEA president role into a global sales position, which will see him responsible for all markets outside of North America.
At the end of last year Dell announced that it would be merging its direct and indirect sales units, under the leadership of Bill Scannell, after Marius Haas announced he would be retiring.
