Kick IT sales shoot into double figures
Revenue rose 85.5 per cent in 2019
Microsoft Gold partner Kick IT has seen sales almost double to over £13m in its fourth year of trading.
For the year ending 31 December 2019 revenue rose 85.5 per cent to £13.2m, while profit before tax came in at £1.57m (12 per cent of turnover).
The Scottish firm's growth has been built on the quick-fire acquisitions of Talon Business Solutions, Roxxap, Vorenzo and Castle Computer Services.
CEO Tom O'Hara said: "We have made considerable progress during the last year and are pleased that the Castle deal has delivered the envisaged significant impact on sales and operating performance.
"As the largest single-source provider of IT services to Scotland's SME sector, we are now in a strong position to further expand the business within our chosen markets and sectors."
The chief exec said that the firm has funds available to continue its buy-and-build strategy as it looks to grow its market share in Scotland and across the UK.
Last year saw Kick IT move into a new 20,000 sq ft facility in Strathclyde Business Park and "invest heavily" in a datacentre facility owing to customer desire for hybrid cloud strategies.
