Charterhouse reels in second acquisition this year
Lancashire-based Lloyds Business Communications was acquired for its Microsoft capabilities
Comms specialist Charterhouse has snapped up fellow Microsoft partner Lloyds Business Communications.
Charterhouse said that the addition of Lancashire-based Lloyds will enable it to provide the full Microsoft suite as part of its own portfolio.
It also marks PE-backed Charterhouse's second acquisition this year, having acquired LAN specialist NETconnection last month.
"We're thrilled to have found Lloyds and to add their team and expertise to our portfolio," stated Charterhouse CEO Mark Brooks-Wadham.
"We've known Lloyds for a long time now and are excited about them becoming part of the larger Charterhouse group, allowing us to offer a more extensive offering to our customers across the whole country."
Charterhouse ranked 168 in CRN' s VAR 350 this year, with revenues of £23.7m for its year ending 30 November 2018.
Lloyds was founded in 1997 and has a headcount of 45, and counts HP, Mitel, Sophos and Cisco among its other vendor partners.
Lloyds CEO Ian Allmark added: "We were keen to become part of an organisation that would allow us to offer our customers more choice, greater scale and a wider geographic reach while also supporting Lloyds' core expertise and capability. We've definitely found that in Charterhouse and are excited for the future."
