Cisco promotes European channel boss to UK MD

David Meads takes over from Scot Gardner

Cisco has promoted its EMEAR channel boss David Meads to UK managing director.

Meads (pictured) has held a number of leadership roles at Cisco since joining the vendor in 1996.

He takes over from Scot Gardner, who now leads Cisco's global specialist team, which focuses on computing, cloud, IoT and service providers.

Meads said: "Technology has the power to help the UK and Ireland accelerate its digital future to advance cultural, economic and social development.

"Leading one of the world's most relevant technology companies, in one of the most ambitious technology-driven nations, is a privilege.

"I'm excited to work with our partners, customers, government and employees to help continue to build an inclusive, digital future for both the UK and Ireland."

Prior to his EMEAR role Meads led Cisco's Middle East and Africa businesses as vice president.
