QBS acquires full stake in Zedsphere and launches MSP-focused arm

QBS acquired the majority of Zedsphere last year

QBS Software has acquired the full stake in distributor Zedsphere and merged it with the MSP arm of Alpha Gen, which it snapped up last month.

The firm acquired the majority of Zedsphere in 2019 but has now taken full control of the business and launched QBS MSP Software.

Dave Stevinson (pictured), CEO of QBS, said: "Combining two of the UK's two most prominent MSP-dedicated software distributors under the QBS umbrella gives us significant reach into a strategically important sector for the group and our vendor community.

"MSP, as one of the four cornerstones of our business, requires a disproportionate amount of effort building a community, however the results are great with a loyal customer base who tend to be very open to the technology that we evangelise."

QBS said it has over 900 active MSP clients and boasts over 4400 active resellers in total across the group.

The integration of Zedsphere and 4Serv, the MSP arm of AlphaGen, will be led by Grahame Smee, who joined QBS as part of the AlphaGen acquisition.

Zedsphere founder Rick Yates will lead the MSP business.

QBS has made a number of acquisitions across Europe since Stevinson bought the firm in 2018.
