'It's the right time to move on': Maintel sales boss on his departure

Stuart Legg announces he is moving on from Avaya partner after nearly 10 years

Maintel group sales director Stuart Legg has taken to LinkedIn to confirm his departure after nearly a decade at the AIM-listed comms provider.

In a post on the business networking site, Legg said he felt "the time is right" for him to move on from the Avaya partner, which turned over £122.9m last year.

Maintel had already announced in a stock exchange announcement on Tuesday that Legg and COO Kevin Stevens had resigned from the board and would be leaving with immediate effect.

Legg joined Maintel courtesy of its 2014 acquisition of Proximity, where he was sales director.

"I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of my connections who have helped us grow so quickly over that time," he stated.

"And also wish everyone at Maintel good luck for the future, it is a fantastic company with some brilliant people and has a very bright future."

Maintel saw revenues dip by 10 per cent to £122.9m last year as its top line was hit by delays to the award of public sector contracts and economic uncertainty.
