Maintel says 'small number' of jobs at risk
Comms provider reveals internal reshuffle
A "small number" of jobs at comms provider Maintel are at risk following an internal restructuring.
The firm confirmed the potential jobs cuts in a statement to CRN, following chatter on social media.
The company said: "We are making a number of changes within our organisation and have created three new executive management roles across sales, services and customer experience in order to better serve our customers and in support of Maintel's transition to a cloud and managed services business.
"As a result, there has been some restructuring and re-aligning of our wider team and we are consulting with a small number of employees whose roles are at risk."
Publicly listed Maintel has not disclosed any information regarding the potential job cuts to the stock exchange.
Posting on LinkedIn an at-risk employee claimed that he was one of "many" facing redundancy, with the date for the cuts given as 31 July.
Last week Maintel announced the departures of sales director Stuart Legg and COO Kevin Stevens.
The firm saw its sales drop by 10 per cent to £122.9m last year as its top line was hit by delays to the award of public sector contracts and economic uncertainty.
