Dell's channel boss Joyce Mullen resigns after 21 years
Mullen to ‘move on to new challenges’, claims Dell
Dell's global channel boss Joyce Mullen has resigned and will "move on to new challenges outside the company," the vendor has said.
Mullen has spent 21 years with Dell, where she climbed the ranks as director of various service delivery roles before becoming the head of the firm's Americas sales operations in 2004.
After holding several other senior positions including VP of global OEM solutions, VP of alliances and VP of public marketing, Mullen became Dell's president for global channel, embedded and edge solutions in 2017.
According to a statement from Dell , Mullen will pursue new business challenges outside of Dell.
"After 21 years, Joyce Mullen has made the decision to move on to new challenges outside of the company. The channel continues to be a critical part of Dell Technologies' go-to-market strategy and our partner ecosystem is of the utmost importance to us.
"We look forward to sharing more information in the coming weeks about how we will lead our channel organisation."
Mullen will leave her role in mid-August, with Dell announcing no immediate successor.
Mullen led the creation of the Dell Technologies partner programme last year, as Dell made efforts to bring all of its disparate divisions under one banner.
The change meant that revenue and certifications with other vendors within the Dell Technologies family would count towards a partners' tier status with the vendor under the new programme.
Another senior exec at Dell - its chief commercial officer Marius Haas - announced that he will step down from the company at the end of Dell's fiscal year ending 3 February 2020.
