Four vendors and one distributor make it onto D&B list

Four vendors and a distributor have sealed places on a list of the 50 fastest growing tech companies in the UK.

The first-ever list by business data firm Dun & Bradstreet identifies the tech companies in the UK with the highest compound annual growth rate (CAGR) by revenues over the last three years.

Email security vendor Mimecast was ranked 33 out of 50 in the list with a CAGR of 55 per cent over the last three years.

Cybersecurity firm Darktrace ranked higher in 26th place, with a three-year CAGR of 84 per cent.

Higher still was RPA vendor BluePrism which ranked number 19 out of 50 with lightning fast 119 per cent revenue growth by CAGR over the last three years.

The highest ranked company was Atom Bank - which claims to be the UK's first app-based bank with no branches. The firm grew at a revenue CAGR of 838 per cent over the last three years.

Meanwhile, videoconferencing software company Starleaf was ranked in 37th place with a three-year CAGR of 51 per cent, while workforce management vendor ActiveOps snuck into the top 50 at number 49 with a three-year CAGR of 32.8 per cent.

The list featured one distributor - QBS Software - which ranked at number 47 with a three-year CAGR of 37.3 per cent.

Speaking to CRN, QBS' CEO Dave Stevinson said: "To be officially recognised as the 47th fastest growing technology company in the UK by D&B is amazing and validates the popularity of our software delivery platform."

"We had just under 6,000 resellers using the platform in 2020 so are confident of continued growth with our laser focus on software."

"QBS is a company that is empowered by technology and specialise in integrations to deliver software on behalf of our publishers, but there is much more to us than our technology, we have almost 150 software experts to help our publishers and resellers with their software decisions and procurement."
