Purechannels breaks into North American market

Sales and marketing specialist says it sees demand in the US market for UK channel expertise

Channel sales and marketing specialist Purechannels has announced it is expanding into North America in response to what it claims is demand for UK channel expertise in the US market.

CEO Glenn Robertson said the impetus for the move is also 12 months of "record growth" for the channel marketing firm.

He said that the East Sussex-HQ agency has recorded a 50 per cent increase in new client acquisitions and tripled its employee headcount despite the pandemic.

"We provide clients with much-needed creativity and strategic thinking that is aligned to output and results - something we see that is often missing in channel campaigns," he said.

"As such, we realised there was a gap in the market for dedicated sales and marketing agency activity for the channel in North America. We believe we are the first agency of our kind to expand from the UK to the US."

As part of the transatlantic expansion, Purechannels has appointed former Fujitsu channel veteran Mike Ammann to head up its North American operations.

Commenting on his new role, Amman said he hopes to drive momentum as the US economy starts to see some COVID-19 restrictions easing.

"I've been an admirer of Purechannels for years and they have always put out quality campaigns and content," Ammann said.

"When Glenn reached out to me about expanding their efforts and creating a global brand and agency it was a no-brainer. I think of Purechannels as removing business friction for vendors, distributors and partners."
