Six Degrees appoints former Rackspace MD as non-executive director

Darren Norfolk will join cloud reseller following company’s recent CEO change

Six Degrees has announced that former Rackspace EMEA managing director Darren Norfolk will join the company as a non-executive director.

It follows the appointment of new CEO Simon Crawley-Trice, which was announced last month, as former CEO David Howson moved into a new role as chairperson of the board.

"My experience of driving growth in the mid-market aligns perfectly with Six Degrees' goals and I am confident I can help accelerate the next stage of their ambitious strategy," Norfolk said.

Norfolk oversaw the doubling of revenues during his time at Rackspace as the business moved from traditional infrastructure to public cloud services.

Crawley-Trice said: "With the recent launch of our Beyond Cloud proposition, and our new Microsoft Azure Expert status, Darren joins Six Degrees at a very exciting time.

"There are very few senior executives in the industry with Darren's proven track record of success, especially in the mid-market.

"His experience, along with his huge network of customer contacts and industry talent, is going to be a major asset for Six Degrees."
