Orca Security targets UK&I growth by signing distribution agreement with DataSolutions
Partnership will see distributor DataSolutions take $1.2bn business’ services to wider market
DataSolutions has signed a distribution agreement with cloud security business Orca Security to take its services to a wider market in the UK and Ireland.
Orca, which is valued at more than $1bn, is backed by Google and recently raised $210m of funding in a Series C round led by Alphabet's independent growth fund CapitalG and Redpoint Ventures.
The Israeli and Los Angeles-based startup has undergone significant growth recently, reporting 1000 per cent year-over-year sales growth having only been founded in 2019.
Michael O'Hara, managing director, DataSolutions, said: "Orca Security represents a revolutionary step forward in optimising cloud environments.
"We're thrilled to join Orca Security on their journey to reinvent cloud security and are delighted to have been appointed a distributor for the UK and Ireland.
"With our security knowledge and the expertise we have from working with our growing security sector portfolio, we believe Orca Security can have a real impact."
Orca Security offers a public cloud security solution, which it says provides "100 percent full-stack visibility into AWS, Azure and GCP" to detect cyber threats "without using agents or network scanners".
The addition of Orca Security is the latest to DataSolutions' growing security division, joining the likes of Ordr and ColorTokens, with its security division revenue increasing by €7.5 million in 2020 compared with the previous year.
"After gaining international traction, we are now focussing on the UK and Ireland, and we are excited to partner with DataSolutions for their key role in continuing our upward growth trajectory in the region," Avi Shua, chief executive officer, Orca Security said.
