Softcat boss reaches top three in Glassdoor CEO rankings
Graeme Watt 'chuffed' to win a Glassdoor Employees Choice Award, with other tech bosses including Computacenter's Mike Norris also named in top 20
Softcat CEO Graeme Watt has won a Glassdoor Employees' Choice Award after being named as the third top CEO in the job site's annual employees' choice rankings.
Employees submit reviews about their employer and are asked to rate several factors such as leadership skills and performance of their CEO, with Watt securing an impressive approval rating based on the anonymous and voluntary feedback left by Softcat staff over the past year.
Watt came in just behind Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, who ranked number two overall, while Michael Dell was named the 11th best according to employees.
Computacenter's Mike Norris was one place behind Dell in 12th, with Salesforce's Marc Benioff at 13th, HPE's Antonio Neri at 16th and ServiceNow's Bill McDermott at 27th.
Larry Fink, the CEO of US investment firm Black Rock, was the number one ranked CEO in the Glassdoor ranking.
"2021 has been a challenging and extraordinary year for everyone in all walks of life and I am extremely proud of how our Softcat team have responded and risen to the challenges," Watt said.
"I am chuffed to be the recipient of this rating but it is really a positive and welcome reflection of how our senior leadership team and the entire company pull together in normal times and particularly during the pandemic.
"Our company ethos is about driving the highest levels of employee motivation and engagement which in turn enables us to deliver an outstanding customer experience. This is a vote of confidence in the team at Softcat.
"They are a fantastic bunch of people and I love leading them and being part of such a great team. Thank you to everyone who took time to provide their feedback."
