Cybersecurity firm Integrity360 acquired by August Equity
Former Air IT and SecureData boss Ian Brown installed as chairman of Dublin-based specialist
Cybersecurity specialist Integrity360 has been acquired by August Equity as it intends to kickstart an aggressive M&A strategy across Europe.
Founded in 2005 and based in Dublin, Integrity360 also has offices in London and in New York. The Check Point, F5 and Forcepoint partner offers managed security, technical consulting, cybersecurity testing as well as cyber risk and assurance services.
The firm claims it achieved 15 per cent revenue growth in 2020 driven by customers moving to protect remote working environments as well as their cloud-based operations.
Integrity360 has announced changes to its leadership team following the acquisition by August Equity. Its CEO, Eoin Goulding, has moved to a newly created position as president of the cybersecurity firm while former SecureData and Air IT boss Ian Brown becomes the company's chairman.
Brown was executive chairman of SecureData from 2016 until it was acquired by Orange in 2019, and became chairman of Air IT from February 2020 according to his LinkedIn profile.
Another former SecureData man, Matt Tomlinson, has meanwhile been brought into the Integrity360 business to run its UK business development operations. Tomlinson held a similar role at SecureData and then Orange Cyberdefense between 2001 and December 2020, his LinkedIn profile shows.
Integrity360 claims it will use the investment to accelerate its growth strategy and embark on an "extensive acquisition programme" across Europe to expand its services portfolio and next generation managed detection and response capabilities.
August Equity is among the most active PE houses and consolidators in the UK channel. Its current investments include Air IT, Charterhouse and Business Systems which have all carved an M&A path in recent years.
"Over the past 16 years the company has successfully grown to become a leading cyber security specialist within Ireland and in the UK. We have a fantastic team with a thriving culture, and I am delighted to now work with both August and Ian who will continue to bolster our service capability and expand our reach internationally," said Goulding in a statement.
"I have followed and admired Integrity360 for some time, and so I am truly delighted to be partnering with Eoin - and of course August Equity - once again, with the goal to build a market leading cyber security services company across Europe. Integrity360 already has a strong reputation in the industry and a comprehensive end-to-end portfolio of services. I look forward to working with the team to accelerate our organic growth plans and also build the brand internationally. The market need for such services has never been stronger given both the massive digital transformation acceleration within businesses, alongside the rapid evolution of cyber threats," added Brown.
