Cloud Distribution partners with cybersecurity vendor Deep Instinct
The partnership is the first announced since Cloud Distribution was acquired by Nuvias
Cloud Distribution has teamed up with Deep Instinct in a new partnership aimed at taking its cybersecurity offering to a wider market through UK channel partners.
Deep Instinct is the first vendor to be added to Cloud Distribution's portfolio since it was acquired by Nuvias earlier this year, with partners able to benefit from lead generation and co-branded marketing campaigns, sales and SE training and pre and post-sales support, among other things.
"This is the package that we're putting together to launch Deep Instinct into the UK channel market," Cloud Distribution's chief strategy officer Adam Davison told CRN.
"We also have our marketing portal, which as of today has six active campaigns that have gone live. Partners can go and generate a multi-touch campaign. In six clicks they get co-branded mailers, they get a co-branded landing page, and they can go and start introducing Deep Instinct into their customer base.
"We'll be engaging with the partners and speaking about how to enable them to take Deep Instinct to market."
Deep Instinct specialises in deep learning AI technology, which it claims is "the most sophisticated form of AI that prevents cyber-attacks even in previously unseen malware, it claims, and can identify zero-day attacks in less than 20 milliseconds.
The New York-based firm announced the world's largest anti-ransomware warranty of £2m in the UK last month, which applies to its customers which have "more than 10,000 endpoints or licenses". The business has also recently been backed with $175m of Series D funding.
"Although the company has been going for over seven years, we're fairly new to Europe. We've only been selling into Europe for about 18 months," Graham Howton, channel and MSSP manager at Deep Instinct explained.
"We've developed a new channel partner programme that includes free training. You can also become certified in Deep Instinct. We've got all of that plus there's rebates and an NFR programme, a mentoring programme, and we're a 100 per cent channel-oriented company, so everything we do across the world goes through a channel of some sorts.
"Cloud Distribution are the ideal partner for us as they are uniquely positioned to support us in growing our channel to help our partners gain net-new logo customers and drive services revenues at a time of meteoric growth in our business."
Value-added distributor Nuvias acquired Cloud Distribution in May, with CEO Simon England telling CRN that the acquisition would help Nuvias to take advantage of emerging technologies in the cybersecurity and networking spaces.
And Davison believes the new partnership with Deep Instinct represents this aim, adding: "Signing Deep Instinct, which is clearly an innovator unicorn within the space, is a great example of where we're continuing on that journey.
"It's the exact journey that we said we were going to be on after the acquisition, and we have the might of Nuvias behind us to help build these types of programmes and invest in going to market quicker and faster.
"In the past, you have other distributors that do a great job of starting up with a vendor and as that vendor gets bigger, perhaps they go and say ‘we want a European distributor now'.
"So our thanks for doing well is them potentially going to sign with a European distributor. We don't have that now, because we're part of a larger group, and that's actually part of the strategy. We start, Nuvias carries on as the vendor gets larger."
