Daisy Communications bolsters health offering with latest acquisition
Premier Choice Telecom will bring 1,500 customers and 40 staff to Daisy
Daisy Communications has announced the acquisition of Premier Choice Telecom, which it claims will "bring additional specialist knowledge of health, education and not-for-profit sectors into the Daisy Communications fold".
Kent-based Premier Choice Telecom will bring around 1,500 customers and a 40-strong workforce to Daisy, which labelled the move a "strategic" one that will "add to its already growing business and customer base".
Daisy Communications CEO Dave McGinn said: "We're delighted to have acquired Premier Choice Telecom and look forward to the acquisition strengthening our proposition to businesses, especially those within health.
"We have looked at Premier Choice Telecom as being a target for some time and are excited about the additional benefits that this acquisition will bring to us.
"I look forward to welcoming the employees and to helping all of our customers, both new and existing, collaborate, communicate and connect."
Daisy Communications is part of the wider Daisy Group and provides a range of telecoms services to small and medium sized businesses.
While Premier Choice Telecom's staff are set to join Daisy Communications, its managing director Nick Stansfield has confirmed his exit from the business.
"After 20 years of building Premier Choice Telecom, we've decided it's the right time to step away," he said.
"However, we're confident we've left the business in safe, reliable and capable hands and are stepping away safe in the knowledge that Daisy Communications will not only continue to offer the same great service to our customers but also give our dedicated employees learning and growth opportunities so they can continue on their career paths."
