Air IT announces fourth double acquisition in a year
Acquisitions are part of Air IT's plan to 'become the MSP of choice for SMEs nationally', it says
Air IT has announced the double acquisition of Reading-based MFG UK Ltd and Uttoxeter-based INFINITY IT Solutions Limited, its seventh and eighth deals in less than a year.
This is the fourth time the MSP, which has been backed by August Equity since January 2020, has acquired two companies at the same time - with the first pair of acquisitions coming last October.
Its latest acquisitions are part of "ambitious plans to further expand across the UK and become the MSP of choice for SMEs nationally", Air IT said.
"We are thrilled to have found two more outstanding teams to join the Air IT Group, which has allowed us to further expand our footprint and introduce skilful, likeminded colleagues to the team," CEO John Whitty said.
"Both MFG and INFINITY are very similar to us in terms of their service maturity, product set, client type and, most importantly, culture - we are confident that they will be a great fit for Air IT and look forward to the contribution we know they will add.
"Our aim is to be the go-to MSP and MSSP for SMEs across the UK, delivering a local service on a national scale, and welcoming exceptional talent to the group will help us achieve this."
The acquisitions see Air IT increase its headcount to 270 staff while also growing its existing presence both in the South East and the Midlands.
MFG UK offers fully outsourced IT management services as well as cybersecurity consultancy and training and communications solutions, and counts Microsoft and Dell among its vendor partners.
INFINITY IT Solutions, meanwhile, labels itself as a "Microsoft Azure specialist" and provides other services like a 24/7 helpdesk and cybersecurity, infrastructure and communications solutions.
It follows the double acquisition of Concise Technology in the north-west and InfoTech Solutions in Kent back in March of this year.
