NTT appoints former Tech Data exec as new CEO for Europe
Appointment of Miriam Murphy will ‘supercharge’ NTT’s efforts in the continent, according to CEO Abhijit Dubey
NTT Ltd. has appointed former Tech Data executive Miriam Murphy as its new Europe CEO.
Murphy previously held the role of senior vice-president EMEA, advanced and specialist solutions, at Tech Data, where she was responsible for go-to-market strategy and P&L management spanning data centre and next-generation technology solutions portfolios.
She will take on her new role on 3 February where she will apply her "deep understanding of the region" to drive NTT Ltd's European sales and business development and expand its customer partnerships.
Tech Data has promoted its European VP of vendor and alliances, Jason Boxall, to the role of senior VP of advanced and specialised solutions for Europe at the distributor.

Murphy brings more than 25 years of IT experience to the role, having also previously worked for Avnet Technology Solutions in a number of roles including as senior vice-president for north region EMEA.
