Nuvias latest distie to join GTDC
The group joins the ranks of Exclusive Networks, Exertis, Infinigate, Ingram Micro and more
Nuvias Group has announced it has joined the Global Technology Distribution Council (GTDC).
The consortium claims its members - which include Exclusive Networks, Exertis, Ingram Micro, Infinigate, CMS Distribution and Arrow Electronics - drive around $150bn (€127.34bn) in annual global sales of products, services and solutions through the channel.
Founded by Rigby Private Equity, Nuvias is a $750m (€666m) company with offices across Europe, it claims.
"Nuvias Group is a model for what successful technology distribution will look like today and into the future," said GTDC CEO Frank Vitagliano.
"Their ability to flex and adapt to the changing needs of the channel will also help our organisation to better meet the evolving requirements of today's technology vendors, resellers and solution providers— as the world continues to shapeshift around us every day."
Nuvias is the latest distributor to rejoin GTDC. Exertis rejoined in March last year after a five-year hiatus while Italian distributor Esprinet joined in January 2021.
The GTDC bills itself as an association dedicated to highlighting the value of its member distributors in a successful and healthy information technology channel.
It claims its conferences support the development and expansion of strategic supply-chain partnerships that "continually address" the fast-changing marketplace needs of vendors, end customers and distributors.
"We're dedicated to providing ever-greater value to the IT channel, our vendors and customers," added Nuvias Group CEO, Simon England.
"Joining forces with the GTDC helps us to further that mission."
The Surrey-based distributor has continued its acquisitive growth over the past year, strengthening its presence and service in the UK, Benelux and the DACH region.
It entered a partnership with cybersecurity vendor Deep Instinct in June to focus on the Benelux, DACH and the UK.
The following month the group was selected as the European distributor for autonomous breach protection platform Cynet to expand across the DACH and Benelux regions.
More recently the distributor snapped up Belgium-based VAD of cybersecurity and networking solutions, Deltalink.
