NetApp UK&I channel boss Bryant departs
Vendor confirms that UK&I channel boss left the business this month
NetApp's UK and Ireland channel boss Denise Bryant has left the business, the vendor has confirmed.
In a statement seen by CRN, NetApp said: "We can confirm that Denise Bryant left the NetApp business in April 2022. We wish her well for the future."
Bryant joined NetApp in 2020 to lead its UK and Ireland channel operations.
She was previously director of distribution for Mitel's International region. Before that, the channel boss was managing director for the Association of Professional Sales and was UK country manager of Germany-based IT software distributor Magirus which was bought by Avnet in 2012.
She then went on to be sales director of Arrow ECS' UK operations between 2014 and 2016, according to her LinkedIn profile.
The storage vendor announced a global restructure in March 2021 which saw its SVP of globals, verticals and pathways, Rich Scurfield, appointed to a newly created role as chief commercial officer.
It also consolidated its EMEA, APAC and Latin American business into one role led by former EMEA boss Alex Wallner. At the time, Bryant said the changes will mean a more streamlined experience for partners and provide more visibility into the performance of NetApp's channel.
NetApp then announced sweeping changes to its partner programme later that year to encourage partners to invest in its specialist solutions and sell more from its cloud portfolio.
The changes will mean that, by May this year, partners will need to be certified in either its cloud specialisation or infrastructure specialisation as a basic requirement for being in its programme.
NetApp also revealed that partners will now be measured on more than just "straight revenue" with more weight being given to subscription and cloud consumption sales.
