Arrow Electronics appoints new CEO
Currently the firm's chief operating officer, Kerins will succeed Michael Long on 1 June
Arrow Electronics has announced that Sean J. Kerins will take over as chief executive officer of the distributor, effective from 1 June.
He'll succeed Michael J. Long who will become the company's chairman of the Board of Directors.
Kerins is currently Arrow's chief operating officer, and has held senior leadership positions at the distributor for almost fifteen years.
Previous channel roles include president of Arrow's global enterprise computing solutions and 10 years at EMC in sales and professional services.
In a statement, Kerins said he was "honoured to lead this company into the future".
"It truly has been a privilege to work with Mike and the talented Arrow team for the past almost 15 years," he said.
"I look forward to our continued focus on driving profitable growth and value creation for our shareholders, suppliers, customers, and employees."
Current CEO Michael Long said the leadership change was a result of a "multi-year succession process".
"I am delighted Sean has been named president and CEO. I am confident in his leadership to guide Arrow into the future, and I look forward to continuing to serve on the Arrow board of directors."
Kerins holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Syracuse University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
