CDW UK reports 'significant' second quarter growth
Reseller’s latest results show net sales for UK and Canada combined jumped 24 per cent
CDW has reported "significant" growth for its UK operations in its second quarter.
Net sales for the company's UK and Canadian operations, which are grouped together, jumped 24 per cent to $742m during the quarter.
And on the earnings call for the results, CEO Christine Leahy said sales for the UK were "up significantly" in local currency.
The UK arm of the reseller giant delivered "balanced growth across both public and commercial with excellent remote enablement activity", she added.
Overall, the hardware and software provider reported net sales of $6.1bn for the quarter, up 19 per cent year-on-year, while net income increased just under two per cent to reach £279.3m.
The results were driven by significant improvement in the company's corporate net sales, which surged 34 per cent to $2.7bn.
Net sales increases to healthcare and government customers of 30.1 percent and 18.7 percent respectively were also a driving factor behind the growth.
"We had an exceptional second quarter. The teams continued to execute well in a challenging supply environment and delivered all-time record sales, margins and profits," Leahy added.
"We expect to exceed our initial 2022 outlook to outpace US IT market growth by 200 to 300 basis points on a constant currency basis.
"We will continue to execute our strategy, invest in the business, and be laser-focused on meeting the needs of our more than 250,000 customers around the globe and remain the partner of choice for more than 1,000 leading and emerging technology brands as the market continues to evolve."
