QBS launches new distributor in the UK market
New Orchestra brand will bring five ‘hypergrowth’ vendors to the UK market in partnership with private equity firm Insight Partners
QBS Technology Group has launched a new distributor which it claims is designed to bring "the best of the best" hypergrowth vendors to the UK market.
The new brand, called Orchestra, will launch in the UK and Germany but with a plan to build the business across Europe.
Orchestra launches with five initial vendors - Keeper Security, Automox, DNS Filter, Octopus Deploy and CoreView - which specialise across cybersecurity, DevOps and Microsoft365 management.
All of the launch vendors have had success growing direct sales in the US and are now moving to a channel-first model, QBS claims, as they look to achieve international growth.
Orchestra will provide "fast-growth sales opportunities" for vendors and partners, says QBS. It will leverage its parent company's Software Delivery Platform and offer a "dedicated, consultative, proactive approach to sales".
The brand will only partner with the "best of the best" so-called "hypergrowth" vendors in the market, QBS claims.
Orchestra was made possible through a partnership with venture capital giant Insight Partners which invests in tech companies such as Mimecast, DocuSign and Twitter.
The new distributor says it is looking for new and existing QBS partners who are interested in partnering with "hypergrowth" vendors.
Dave Stevinson, group CEO of QBS, said: "QBS Technology Group's large and growing European footprint means that the creation and launch of Orchestra provides a strategic offering across Europe - for modern enterprise technology vendors who want to get into the market and/or enhance their footprint.
"QBS is continuing to invest heavily to build out and enhance the Orchestra model. This includes technology from myriad software companies, writing our own code to create a robust and agile platform, and recruiting the right people from both inside and outside QBS. This move solidifies QBS' position as the undisputed software delivery platform for emerging software vendors wanting to internationalise -- particularly in Europe."
Thomas Krane, MD at Insight Partners, added: "The technology market is changing at breath-taking speed with new models of delivery and consumption, at boundless scale and with global reach. It can be difficult to keep up in this increasingly data-driven world and the modern channel needs a new approach to sales, marketing, and execution to reach customers and influence the buyer's journey.
"Orchestra is that model. We look forward to partnering with Dave and the rest of the QBS team on this exciting journey."
