EvolveODM closes second M&A deal in three months
The buy is the latest stamp in the Wigan group's footprint across the North of England
IT and managed networks provider EvolveODM has acquired mobile telecoms provider 4G Voice and Data, marking its second buy in three months.
The Wigan-based group took over GB3 from EG Group in November 2022.
This latest buy includes the retention of all 4G voice and Data employees and is the latest stamp in EvolveODM's footprint across the North of England that spans Yorkshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester.
EvolveODM was founded in 2005 and specialises in providing end-to-end managed network solutions, including global SD-WAN for customers in 11 countries.
The newly-acquired company, 4G Voice and Data was founded in 2012 and has a team with more than 25 years' experience in business connectivity services including telecoms, mobile, and payments, and works with all UK major mobile networks.
It has been led by the EvolveODM team of directors, including Alan Stephenson-Brown, Ryan Stephenson-Brown and Rob Brown, since 2017.
The completion of the acquisition formally incorporates the 4G entity within EvolveODM, while maintaining its services, staff and customer base.
"4G customers were repeatedly asking for SD-WAN and networking services, a field that EvolveODM offers tangible USPs in, while we believe the addition of a B2B mobile offering complements our existing backup M2M SIM offerings," said Evolve Business Group director, Ryan Stephenson-Brown.
"All this allows us to provide a true one-stop-shop connectivity solution to our customers.
"As our two businesses have minimal overlap in terms of roles and deliverables, we are pleased to retain every member of the 4G Voice and Data team and look forward to our customers benefiting from their talents."
EvolveODM said its growth plans include increasing its network management footprint from 7,500 locations to 15,000 within the next three years, with a focus on creating local jobs.
