Agilitas CMO Richard Eglon to step down
The channel services provider's chief marketing officer will leave the business in August
Global channel services provider Agilitas IT Solutions has today announced its chief marketing officer, Richard Eglon, is to step down from his role at the business after eight years.
He will leave the company in August 2023.
Eglon told CRN he plans to take time out with his family after a number of years managing a busy and fast-paced work schedule.
He joined Agilitas in 2015 as marketing director before being promoted to chief marketing officer in 2021.
In this role, he has been responsible for building Agilitas' channel services brands, setting and communicating strategic direction and executing go-to-market plans as well as its ESG initiative.
Eglon has also been a member of Agilitas' leadership team as the firm has logged double-digit growth and expanded across Europe in recent years.
He remains a key contributor and ambassador to industry cohorts such as judging the CRN Sales & Marketing Awards, being a Channel buddy for The Channel Community and being a regular spokesperson in the industry.
"Having joined Agilitas in its infancy, Richard has been fundamental in driving the business forward and expanding the company's service proposition, in line with its ambitious growth strategy," said Agilitas chairman Mark Dixon.
"He has been instrumental from a positioning, brand and marketing perspective, taking the business to new heights across Europe and internationally. With his hands-on and results-driven approach to start-up and scale-up businesses, we look forward to seeing what the future holds for Richard - we wish him all the best."
Speaking about his departure, Eglon said: "I'm extremely proud of the phenomenal journey I have shared with Agilitas, and I want to wish the team all the best for the future. I feel very fortunate to experience some amazing highs during my time with the business.
"These highlights include Agilitas winning multiple industry awards as recognition of the first-class service we deliver to our customers, alongside being the first Channel services firm to introduce Inventory-as-a-Service to the global IT services market."
He added: "It also gave me great pride that the business aligned itself with a young female sporting talent in Women's Golf Champion, Georgia Hall. During our four-year partnership with Georgia, we shared an exciting journey where we became leaders in our respective fields which was a special experience.
"None of this could have been achieved without the fantastic team of talented people I've been privileged to call my colleagues, from all the departments within Agilitas to our network of strategic delivery partners, so I thank you all."
"Finally, during my time with Agilitas, I've also formed many special friendships with some inspiring and talented people across the Technology Channel and I'm looking forward to building on these friendships, as well as forming new ones during the journey ahead."
