Babble makes double acquisition to bolster cloud services offering
Midland Comms and Cloudstream Technology are the latest addition to Babble’s arsenal
Babble has acquired comms solutions provider Midland Comms and a carve-out of MSP Cloudstream Technology Limited.
Following a busy start to 2023 for acquisitions, Babble hopes the new acquisitions will strengthen its position as a cloud service provider (CSP) in the UK.
Babble has made five acquisitions in the first quarter of 2023.
The two new acquisitions collectively add £4.5m in revenues, 90 per cent+ of which is recurring, accoirding to Babble, taking its overall revenue run rate past £100m per year.
The two acquisitions will see more than 30 new employees join Babble.
Tewkesbury-based Midland Comms has been serving SMEs across the Midlands for nearly 50 years, providing communications solutions to over 500 customers.
Fife-headquartered Cloudstream's MSP business, on the other hand, has more than 350 customers across Scotland, the North of England and Northern Ireland.
"These two strategic acquisitions significantly strengthen our position as the only UK Cloud Service Provider of both Comms and IT solutions at scale," said Matt Parker, Babble CEO.
"They bring high quality retained customers and fantastic, expert people into Babble.
"This also further extends our geographical reach across the UK, bolstering our ability to offer nationwide coverage with local support to give customers the best possible levels of service."
The acquisitions come as Babble continues on its rapid expansion.
Earlier this year, Babble beat a field of 20 bidders to land another acquisition target, Microsoft partner TechQuarters, in a move it claimed would mark it out from its "historical peers" in the comms space.
