Jigsaw24 adds repair piece with Amsys acquisition
Apple reseller makes first acquisition in six years
Apple reseller Jigsaw24 has made its first acquisition in six years in the shape of Amsys, an Apple repair specialist with 40 staff.
Surrey-based Amsys provides break-fix and warranty programme support to around 265 B2B customers. It also hosts the annual Mac System Administrator and Developer Conference (MacAD.UK).
Nottingham-based Jigsaw24, which turned over £170.5m in its fiscal 2022, said the move will broaden its managed services offering.
Amsys represents only the third acquisition in Alcuin Capital Partners-backed Jigsaw24's 31-year history, following its purchases of Square Group in 2014 and Root 6 in 2017.
"Amsys is an Apple authorised service provider with a successful and envied reputation as the UK's Apple repair expert", said Jigsaw24 COO David Dudman.
"This acquisition and the addition of the Amsys team will significantly increase Jigsaw24's repair capabilities and bolster our technical expertise."
Amsys will continue operating from its workshop facilities in Kenley under the Amsys brand, with CEO Alex Hawes staying on as a strategy consultant.
"I've known Jigsaw24 for as long as I have been building Amsys and I can't think of a better home for our people and customers," Hawes said.
Jigsaw24 chief sales officer Tim Bodill (pictured, top), added: "There's been enormous growth in the popularity of premium Apple devices in the UK.
"The additional services that the Amsys team will help us deliver means we can provide greater breadth in our offering to businesses looking for a comprehensive managed service."
