inTEC sweetens skillset and UK reach with Sweethaven acquisition
Sweethaven marks inTEC’s fourteenth M&A deal since 2016 as its acquisition strategy continues
SME and education sector IT specialist inTEC Group has ramped up its capacity in the UK and as a Google partner with its latest acquisition of Sweethaven Managed IT Services.
This deal marks the fourteenth acquisition since 2016 for inTEC, which says it has "ambitious" plans to further extend its geographical reach throughout the UK and Ireland this year.
The MSP's last M&A move was in February when it snapped up Microsoft Silver partner FROG IT Services.
The Manchester-based group now adds Sweethaven's Reigate HQ to its UK coverage with nine offices across Manchester, Altrincham, Newcastle, Cumbria, Guildford, Sussex, Dublin, Cambridge and now Reigate.
The addition of Sweethaven will also grow Microsoft Gold partner inTec's Google partner capabilities to further enhance digital transformation offerings and optionality for both schools and businesses.
"We are really looking forward to working with [Sweethaven] to bring added value to their client base whilst further enhancing the inTEC portfolio through their additional state school and academies experience," said inTEC Group CEO, Simon Howitt.
"We have been very impressed with the senior management team and I am looking forward to us coming together and delivering an ambitious plan."
Melissa Rambridge, CEO of Sweethaven added: "We are delighted to be joining the inTEC Group and are so excited by the opportunity this presents for a further enhanced service and suite of offerings for our customers.
"There is a strong cultural alignment between Sweethaven and inTEC, with dedication, passion and care sitting at the core of all that we do.
"My team and I look forward to harnessing this together to truly offer the very best managed service for our schools and businesses, delivered with the personal touch for which we are renowned."
Sweethaven was established in 1977, originally as a newsagent, progressing to a chain of three computer departments, before transitioning to a fully dedicated managed service provision for schools and businesses.
Today, Sweethaven delivers secure and sustainable managed IT solutions for the UK education sector and for businesses across the South of England.
